Success Warriors Podcast – How Patience Leads to Success

By December 27, 2017Podcast

The Success Warriors is a brand new series of podcasts that highlights four every day mortal athletes and their journey to achieving success. These are shorter 15-30 minute podcasts that highlight inspiring stories of how they got started, the lessons they learned along the way, and tips and tools that helped them succeed.

The second success warrior Ed Johnson who is a father, husband, financial planner, and masters runner. We began working together when he accepted a bid to run in the Boston Marathon two years ago. The word that I would use to describe Ed’s journey to success is patience. He had to take a few steps back, before he could move forward, and by practicing patience and consistency, he is now, in his 50s is reaching his goals and setting personal records.

After years of fitness program development, we’ve designed a program and community that will help you maintain your motivation, make the most of your time, take the guesswork out of training, conquer your goals and support you every step of the way.

Here’s how it works…

We set goals and achieve them.
We start the year off with learning how to set realistic goals and create a vision for the year. Then, together, we’ll break it down, and put action into the vision throughout the year.

We get outside our comfort zone, make positive change and move consistently.
Along the way, you’ll be inspired by monthly fitness and healthy habit challenges that help you maintain focus make positive behavior changes. And all year you’ll maintain a consistent active lifestyle with The National Parks Challenge.

We’ll support you like a best friend.
Once you register and become a Challenger, you have access to hundreds of people just like you in the private Facebook group. You’ll share the journey through 2018 with The Challenger Nation, a community of like-minded, judgement-free people who are there for you every step of the way.

We give.
And that’s not all folks…part of your Challenge 2018 Membership will go to supporting non-profits and civic organizations every month. Together, we will support over twelve charity organizations, allowing us to support others, along our journey to bettering ourselves. (For that, we truly thank you!)

Thanks Jenny! I am enjoying the Success Warriors Series! ….Thank you for the #2 series with a Master’s Runner. I learned how necessary it is to have patience with myself with need for weight loss goals and running goals. I am a 56 year old female runner. I have been running for 38 years, including two marathons, many half marathons, 10 k’s, 5 k’s. In that time, I have only had one running injury, a foot sprain , 3 months ago, thankfully, minor. The podcast with Ed helped me realize I need to have patience with my diet and training and not expect miracles overnight. Thank you!!!

    • Congratulations on your running career Rose and thank you for listening to the Success Warriors Podcast Series! You’ve done well to only have one injury! Keep up the smart training.
