Training programs can be effective, but when they are tailored to your goals, your body, and your life schedule, it’s a game changer. Coach Jenny works with you one-on-one to guide you through how to train wisely, improve your running fitness, lose weight, finish strong, and most importantly, how to create your personal training recipe.

Coach Jenny’s training system has been developed throughout her twenty plus years of coaching real people one-on-one, in groups, and for a variety of events from learning to run, to training for a marathon, triathlon, or ultra-marathon. The result is a winning coaching program that is easy to understand, customized to flow efficiently with your fitness level and life schedule, and will keep you motivated to run your best life.

How does it work?

You’ll start by completing Coach Jenny’s personal health and exercise history assessment to provide the information needed to begin to develop your custom training plan. The plan is based on the health and exercise history form, your goals, and life schedule, and is tailored weekly based on how your body responds to training.

Based on your body’s adaptation to the training and your life schedule, Coach Jenny develops your training in 3-4 week segments in the Training Peaks online training system. Training Peaks has an easy to use app, email notification system, and it works with most training devices. Together, you and Coach Jenny maintain a web based log where she creates your customized workout schedule, and you log your activity. You can even upload your training data if you use a Garmin or other device on this platform to make logging simple. This shared log allows Coach Jenny to analyze your training data and keep you on target for your goals.

Happy Runners

I started running in my late 40s and I started training with Jenny to do the Inca Trail Marathon Adventure in Peru.  I have also trained with Jenny for a marathon in Cuba and currently training to climb Mt Rainer.  I feel like my training has evolved to a new level.  When I trained with more traditional coaches, I was trained using time and a pre-determined, set training schedule.  Jenny’s training is completely different.

First, Jenny focuses all of the training towards your goals and target events, i.e Climbing Mt Rainer. She plans every workout towards that goal.  This makes it very easy for me to follow.

Second, her training is customized to me and my life. While she usually schedules a few weeks in advance, she is great about altering the schedule based on work, home or any potential issues that might start to crop up.

Third and very important, she gives me the goal of the workout as easy, moderate or hard but gives me the freedom to see how my body is feeling that day.  This was a major difference from previous training where I was expected to run though any pain or discomfort I was feeling.

Fourth, Jenny training method is a gradual, body-adjusting, endurance building training method.  I have never woken up in the morning too tired or sore to get out of bed.

The results have been incredible. I am running faster, my overall body strength has improved, and I complete my events with confidence.  It seems so simple and logical, listen to your body during training!  Quite simply, I love training with Jenny!
