  • Flying doctors coverage: Optional at $20 per person. Coverage for east Africa for 14 days. In the event of a medical emergency, you will be airlifted to Nairobi where you will be taken to a good hospital. Hospital bills are born by the patient.

$5,300 per person single rate

$4,650 per person single rate for first three days, sharing double occupancy for the final 7 days.

DEPOSIT

A $500 deposit per person is due at booking. The balance is due January 20, 2017.

October 2, 2016 – January 20, 2017: $500 per person

10-DAY GREAT MIGRATION AFRICAN SAFARI

Day 1: Arrive to Nairobi, Kenya.

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by a representative and you will transfer to your Nairobi Hotel. Overnight at EKA Hotel

Day 2: – Mount Kenya
After breakfast, your driver guides will meet you and you will drive to your hotel situated in the shadow of Mt Kenya. One of the world’s highest National Mount_Kenya Parks, Mount Kenya is an extinct volcano some three and a half million years old. Straddling the equator, the mountain offers a unique mosaic of forest, moorland, rock and ice and is crowned by the glittering twin peaks of Batian (5,199 m) and Nelion (5,188 m). The sacred home of Ngai, God of the Kikuyu people, Mount Kenya is Kenya’s highest mountain, a national icon, a climbers’ Mecca, the nation’s namesake, a UNESCO Natural World Heritage site and a wildlife stronghold. Afternoon game drive. Lunch, Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Serena Tented Camp.

Day 3: Mount Kenya
Early morning game drive. Day spent at your hotel admiring the magnificence of the mountain. Born between 2.6 and 3.1 million years ago, Mt. Kenya formed as successive layers of volcanic lava erupted with massive force from a central vent, which had burst open in the earth’s surface. The peaks of Batian, Nelion and Point Lenana were all named by Sir Halford Mackinder (who made the first recorded conquest of the mountain) in memory of three legendary Maasai laibons or medicine men, all of whom were renowned for their wisdom and bravery. You will have the opportunity to visit the Jane Goodall Chimpanzee Sanctuary at 1100am or 3pm and also a visit to the tame Rhino. Afternoon game drive. Meals and overnight at Sweetwaters Serena Tented Camp

Day 4: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park in Kenya
After breakfast you be picked up by your safari driver guides and will drive to the Amboseli National Park lying just north of the most famous symbol of Africa, Mt Kilimanjaro. Lunch stop included along the way. Towered over by the magnificent bulk of 5,896 m high mountain, Amboseli is comparatively compact and dotted with emerald green swamps in which great herds of elephants can often be seen half-submerged amongst the papyrus grasses. Blessed with panoramic vistas and stunning backdrops it is world-famous as a venue revered by Hollywood professionals Kili and amateur photographers alike. . After checking in- if time permitting, head out on an included afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Day 5: Amboseli
Early morning game drive. Day spent in Amboseli National Park. Wildlife highlights include: lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, zebra, hippo, spotted and striped hyena, giraffe, oryx, wildebeest, gerenuk, impala and Grant’s gazelle. Over 425 bird species have been recorded here, including over 40 species of birds of prey, amongst which are two great rarities, the Taita falcon and the southern banded harrier eagle.
Afternoon game drive. All meals and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha
After breakfast depart with a picnic lunch via Nairobi to Lake migration Naivasha. Afternoon at leisure.
Optional activities (extra charge): The hotel offers lake frontage with direct access to private jetty. A sunset cruise by boat will give you breathtaking views and allow you to get closer to the water animals. Fishing is allowed during six months a year and you can catch tilapia and the occasional blackbass. You can take a boat trip to Crescent Island and enjoy seeing implala, waterbuck and warthog. You are also likely to make acquaintance with Chatu, the resident python snake. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge.

Day 7: Lake Nakuru
After breakfast and some time at leisure, take the short drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. High in wildlife, this park abounds in picturesque lookouts and picnic spots. As Kenya’s first and largest rhino sanctuary, Lake_Nakuru_Kenya sightings of both black and white rhino are almost guaranteed, while plentiful waterbuck, warthog, zebra, gazelle and buffalo graze the shoreline. Echoing to the haunting cries of the numerous fish eagles, this is also the park in which you have the best chance of seeing a leopard. Game drives at Lake Nakuru. Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Camp

Day 8: Masai Mara
Drive via Narok to the Masai Mara National Reserve. World renowned for the breathtaking spectacle of ‘the greatest wildlife show on earth’, the awe inspiring annual migration of the wildebeest, the Mara is Kenya’s most visited protected area. Technically an extension of Tanzania’s renowned Serengeti National Park, the Mara has rolling grasslands, meandering rivers and towering escarpments offering one of the world’s most rewarding and evocative wildlife arenas. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago. Arrival will be in time for lunch at your lodge. Day 9: Masai Mara
Early morning game drives. Day spent game-viewing in the reserve. With morning and afternoon game drives, you have ample time to discover all that this globally famous wilderness has to offer. A pristine wilderness of haunting beauty, it promises it’s visitors a profusion of wildlife, prolific bird life and the unprecedented opportunity of catching up with all the members of the ‘Big Five’!

Day 10: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Early morning game drive. After breakfast depart at around 1000am to Nairobi, Kenya’s colorful capital city, the birthplace of safari and the only place in the world where you will find herds of zebra and giraffe, prides of lion and rhino families living in the wild jus t 20 minutes from a major city center! Afternoon free for guided shopping excursions, lunch stop (lunch today is on your own account), some guided city sightseeing, etc.


Our Included Farewell Dinner will be at the world-famous Carnivore Restaurant in Nairobi.
After dinner- Included Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight home late that evening. “End of trip”
